Onsu Wegner, Trustee

Onsu Wegner received legal and management degrees from the University of Virginia and Stanford University, respectively.  She was a founding director at FHN, one of Nigeria’s first indigenous oil & gas companies.  Onsu brings strategic thinking and a track record in entrepreneurship to her role on the Board.   She currently serves on the boards of the Niger Delta Scholarship Fund, and on Authentise, Inc.

Habiba Balogun, Trustee

Habiba Balogun is a multilingual organization effectiveness consultant, executive coach, and social justice activist.  She sits on several social entrepreneurship and NGO boards. She is a fellow of the Aspen Leadership Network, Africa Leadership Initiative, and Africa Board Fellowship.

Foluso Philips, Trustee

Foluso Phillips is an accomplished management consultant and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Phillips Consulting Group  since 1992.  Mr. Phillips is also a Board member and immediate past Chairman of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group, and is Chairman of the Nigeria-South Africa Chamber of Commerce.  He has a very special interest and keen commitment to the African Renaissance and is extremely active in supporting Pan-African initiatives in different areas of endeavour.

Adeyemo Shokunbi, Trustee

Adeyemo Shokunbi is an architect, a creative and a passionate advocate for eco-friendly and sustainable cities. He holds a BA Hon. and Postgraduate diploma in Architecture and is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Architects. In recent years his artistic expression has found form in more permanent structures in many of his projects undertaken in Lagos.  He is a member of IVIXI, a design collective that strives to bring to the fore creative African design thinking.

Peju Alatise, Trustee and Artistic Director

Peju Alatise has become one of the most widely recognized contemporary artists living and working in Lagos.  Her extensive resume highlights include: experience as a researcher at the Smithsonian Institute in D.C, as an art teacher in Venice, and as resident artist in Morocco and Turkey. Very recently, she was one of three exhibiting artists in the Nigerian pavilion at the 57th Venice Biennale of which her exhibit, ‘ Flying Girls’ is described as “…technically beautiful and haunting at the same time.” Peju is founder of ANAI Foundation and Art Accent Studio.

Olufemi Akinsanya, Trustee

Mr. Olufemi Akinsanya qualified as a chartered accountant with Arthur Andersen & Co and is an Associate and Merit Award Winner (1983) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. He is also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers of Nigeria and a licensed dealer of The Nigerian Stock Exchange.

Bola Asiru is a strategy and operations leader for one of the top 5 management consulting rms. His industry experience spans across banking, financial services, energy & power, publishing, transport, public sector and real estate. He is also founder at Red Door Gallery, a leading art gallery in Nigeria.
